Since most weddings are the first time for a couple, many people have no idea what will happen and in what order, and most importantly how to properly allocate time for all phases of the wedding. How long will the makeup take, how will the redemption happen, or how long will they have to stand at the ceremony? A wedding day is hard to rehearse, so for you I will try to imagine one wedding day with you.
Every wedding is different, and so is its program. Some people don’t even think about a check-out registration, some people care about a banquet and a colorful show program with artists, and some people want just a wedding photoshoot and a trip. Your wedding is a separate story, which in any case will be unique. I want to describe some of the basics, and if you have any questions, I’ll be happy to answer them for you.
8:00/9:00 Wake Up.
Yes, you don’t have to get up at 5:00 a.m. to have time to put on makeup and still be awake for the day. The bride is awake and full of energy! This is a very important moment for feeling and looking great, as well as a relaxing wedding day. Don’t have a bachelorette party the night before the wedding, make it at least a week in advance, and go to a spa or massage a day or two before. I am convinced that the morning sets the rhythm and mood for the whole day. So try to make sure that you have a calm morning without any fuss or unnecessary movement.
10:00 Gathering of the bride.
You have a manicure and pedicure on the eve of the wedding day, and it takes 2.5−3.5 hours to create a medium length hair and makeup application. If the bride’s image includes additional details, add another hour to the stylist’s work. It is great if the bouquet is delivered to you in time for the gathering. To capture the highlights and details of your image, invite a wedding photographer and videographer. To do this, you should understand that there should not be unnecessary things in the room that can get in the frame. For the best effect, shoot a hotel room. That way you will make the morning more relaxing.
1:00 PM Meet the groom.
And here comes the long-awaited meeting. The real reaction of the groom to the beauty of his beloved. The groom enters the room hugs her from behind and whispers words of love in her ear, or maybe the bride walks out to the car and kisses him on the cheek. Either way it’s tender, warm and emotional.
2:00 PM Photo Session.
A photoshoot in the park near the wedding venue is the easiest and most convenient option. In one place it takes an hour and a half for the wedding photo session in Krakow. If you have plans to visit several places with a possible trip out of town, you need to take into account the travel time. About this need to talk directly with the photographer, he should help you make a route and estimate the time of the entire photo shoot.
16:30 Gathering of guests.
Half an hour before ceremony the guests begin to arrive to a place of its carrying out. They get acquainted, chat, have a drink, and wait for the heroes of the occasion. Everything is ready: the chairs are in place, the archway is in place, the music is playing, and the master of ceremonies is setting up the equipment.
17:00/18:00 Ceremony.
The tune starts to play, and the groom appears by the arch. The bride comes out with her father on her arm. Her father passes her into the strong hands of the groom, who is almost a husband. Just a little while longer and everything will happen. A sweet yes, sparkling rings, words of love and a tender kiss!
It’s time for congratulations and gifts from your loved ones and guests. Champagne everywhere, hugs and shouts of «hurrahs,» photos with your parents, girlfriends and friends together. If the restaurant is nearby, everyone slowly starts to move towards it. Otherwise, guests move to a vehicle that will take them to their destination.
18:00/19:00 Start of the banquet.
As a rule, the host will give you time to refresh, and then the entertainment program, which you have planned, will begin. It is worth to start with small turnovers, not rushing the guests, because within 2 or 3 hours the hot food is served. At the same time there is usually the first dance of the young people, which tells the guests that «there is no need to be shy.»
Closer to 10:30 p.m. the projectiles — the bouquet and garter — begin to be thrown, followed by the sweet masterpiece — the wedding cake. The end of the evening is symbolized by the words of the young people to the guests. Usually 5−6 hours are enough for dinner and a show program.
